She wakes up to find scales under her pillow,
Whispers to the mirror, “Is it time to let go?”
His world’s black and white, but hers is getting clearer,
Dreams of the ocean draw closer to her.

While she feels the pull of the changing tide,
He clings to the shore, trying to hide,
Her future’s vast as the open sea,
He’s anchored in doubt, refusing to see.

As she jingles her bracelets, sounding the call,
He just wishes he weren't there at all.

She’s calling, she’s yearning, she’s beginning to flee,
She’s chasing, she’s changing, becoming the sea.
Riding the waves that whisper her name,
Breaking the bonds, unleashing the main.

She's into witch doctors and superstitions,
As if on a mission to challenge his love
Makes him talk to people who he finds quite fishy,
And one of these days, he'll have had enough.

He'll have his grounded world turned upside down.
